Constitution of Shenyang Aerospace University International Students Alumni Association
Chapter I General Provisions
Article 1 Chinese name of the Association: 沈阳航空航天大学留学生国际校友分会,written in English as International Students Alumni Association of Shenyang Aerospace University (abbreviated as SAUISAA).
Article 2 The Association is a non-profit social organization voluntarily formed by the alumni of international students of Shenyang Aerospace University.
Article 3 The purpose of the Association is to strengthen the ties between alumni，between alumni and their alma mater, promote cooperation, and enhance the ability of alumni and their alma mater to serve the society together. To contribute to the friendship and prosperity between China and other countries.
Article 4 The International Students Alumni Association accepts the guidance, supervision and management of Alumni Association of Shenyang Aerospace University.
Chapter II Scope
Article 6 Scope of The Association:
(1) Widely contact with SAU alumni, actively create conditions, build a platform for friendship and exchange for alumni；realize information exchange；resource sharing among alumni，between alumni and their alma mater, and provide services for the common development of their alma mater and alumni.
(2) Make full use of the alumni resources of foreign students to promote cooperation and exchanges in education, scientific research and culture, enhance the international visibility and influence of the alma mater, and contribute to the international development of the Alma mater.
(3) Encourage and support overseas students and alumni to participate in various public welfare activities, repay the society and promote friendship among countries.
(4) To regularly submit work plans and work summaries to the Alumni Association of Shenyang Aerospace University and International Education College of Shenyang Aerospace University.
Chapter III Membership
Article 7 The members of the Association are individual members.
Article 8 Members who apply to join the Association must meet the following requirements:
(1) Support the regulations of the Association;
(2) Willing to join the Association;
(3) The international students who have studied in Shenyang Aerospace University.
Article 9 The procedure for a member to join the association is as follows: he/she should apply for membership and submit the personal information required for membership, which will be examined and approved by the Secretariat of the Association.
Article 10 Procedures for withdrawal of a membership:
(1) Contact the Association and submit an application for withdrawal;
(2) The Secretariat of the Association will register for the record and terminate its membership.
Article 11 The membership of a member who violates the purposes of the Association or damages its reputation shall be suspended or canceled by the vote of the Council.
Article 12 Members shall enjoy the following rights:
(1) The right to vote for association, the right to be elected and the right to vote;
(2) Participate in the activities of the Association;
(3) Priority in obtaining the services of the Association;
(4) The right to criticize, suggest and supervise the work of the Association;
(5) Voluntary membership and free withdrawal;
Article 13 Members shall perform the following obligations:
(1) Abide the association’s regulations and implement the Association’s resolutions;
(2) Timely update personal information to the relevant institutions of the Association;
(3) To actively participate in various activities organized by the Association and complete the tasks assigned by the Association;
(4) To care about the work of the Association, contact alumni from all over the world and develop members;
(5) love the Alma Mater, care for and support the development of the Alma Mater.
Chapter IV Organizational Structure and Appointment and Removal of the Responsible Person
Article 14 The Association shall have a board of directors. The board of directors is the decision-making body of the association, consisting of the president, vice president, Secretary-General and directors.
Article 15 Election and removal of directors:
(1) The first directors shall be elected by the members;
(2) When the Council is re-elected, the International Education College of Shenyang Aerospace University and the Council jointly nominate candidates and set up a new leading group, which organizes all candidates to jointly elect a new Council;
(3) The removal and addition of directors shall be approved by the board of directors.
Article 16 The Council shall set up a Secretariat, which shall be the permanent executive body under the Council.
Article 17 The Association shall have one president, who shall be elected by the board of directors and preside over the work of the board of directors.
Article 18 The Association shall have several vice presidents, who shall be elected by the board of directors to assist the president in presiding over the work of the board of directors.
Article 19 The Secretariat of the Association shall have one Secretary-General and two Deputy Secretaries-General, who shall be responsible for implementing the resolutions of the Council and organizing, and arranging the daily affairs of the Council.
Article 20 Duties of the Council:
(1) To formulate and amend the articles of association;
(2) To elect and dismiss directors;
(3) To elect and dismiss the president; vice-president and Secretary-General;
(4) To decide on other relevant matters of the Association.
Article 21 Duties of the President:
(1) To lead the Council to formulate the work plan of the Association and organize and carry out various alumni activities;
(2) To organize alumni to express their opinions on the development of the school and the Institute of International Education;
(3) Actively carry out various social and academic exchanges to promote the development of schools and international education institutes;
(4) To carry out foreign exchange activities on behalf of the Association.
Article 22 Duties of the Secretariat:
(1) To be responsible for the daily work of the Council under the chairmanship of the Secretary-General;
(2) To be responsible for the management of membership and the updating of membership information;
(3) Integrating resources and information to provide support for the Association to perform its duties;
(4) Other tasks assigned by the Council.
Article 23 Qualifications of Directors:
(1) Love China, love their alma mater, have both ability and sense of responsibility;
(2) Being able to normally exercise the rights and perform the obligations of members;
(3) Love, care and actively participate in the work of the Association;
(4) Good communication skills and dedication.
Article 24 Qualifications of the President, Vice President and Secretary General:
(1) It has wide influence and high prestige among alumni;
(2) Be competent for the work stipulated in the Articles of Association.
Article 25 The board of directors shall hold a meeting once a year. Under special circumstances, an interim meeting of the board of directors may be held upon the proposal of the president or vice president. The meeting of directors shall be convened only when more than half of the directors are present, and the resolution shall be adopted by more than half of the directors present before it takes effect.
Chapter V Management and Use of Assets
Article 26 Sources of funds of The Association:
(1) Donation;
(2) Value-added income such as interest;
(3) other legitimate income.
Article 27 The funds of the Association must be used for the development of the scope of activities and undertakings stipulated in the Articles of Association, and shall not be diverted for other purposes or distributed among the members.
Article 28 The Association shall establish a strict financial management system to ensure that the accounting information is legal, true, accurate and complete.
Article 29 At the beginning of each year, the Secretariat shall report the financial income and expenditure of the previous year to the Council.
Chapter VI Procedures for Amendment of the Articles of Association
Article 30 Amendments to the Articles of Association of The Association shall be adopted by voting at the meeting of the Council.
Article 31 The revised Articles of Association of The Association shall be submitted to the International Education College of Shenyang Aerospace University for examination and approval within 15 working days after the approval of the Council.
Chapter VII Supplementary Provisions
Article 32 The right to interpret the Articles of Association belongs to the International Students Alumni Association of Shenyang Aerospace University.
Article 33 The Articles of Association shall come into force as of the date of establishment of the International Students Alumni Association of Shenyang Aerospace University.
