Shenyang Aerospace University (SAU), founded in 1952, is a comprehensive institution of higher learning. While maintaining a primary focus on engineering, the university encompasses a broad range of disciplines including science, liberal arts, economics, management, arts, and law.

The university's campus spans 600,000 square meters, including teaching buildings, laboratories, library, theater, swimming center, etc. The campus is enhanced by 200,000 square meters of landscaped gardens.

SAU hosts more than 20,000 students and 1,600 staff members. It offers 53 undergraduate programs, 39 graduate programs, and 5 doctoral programs. SAU degrees are recognized worldwide.

The university takes pride in its practical teaching system. The students have access to numerous first-rate laboratories, some of which operate at the national level. SAU has established strong industry partnerships with major corporations, developing a network of 50 partnerships that provide practical training opportunities.

Since 2020, the university has undertaken 235 national-level research projects. The lecturers have published over 7,000 high-impact papers and secured over 900 patents.

Throughout the history, approximately 140,000 students have graduated from the university, with many achieving high honors. The graduates consistently enjoy strong employment prospects.

Internationalization represents a defining characteristic of SAU. The university has established cooperation with over 200 universities from more than 50 countries. It currently offers over 20 student exchange programs with international universities.

The university offers 5 undergraduate programs, 5 graduate programs, and 2 doctoral programs in English medium for international students. Since 2000, more than 6,000 international students from over 130 countries have graduated from SAU, pursuing programs in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunication, International Business, etc. Currently, around 700 international students from over 70 countries are enrolled.

SAU holds the qualifications as the Chinese Government Scholarship and Liaoning Provincial Scholarship for international students. The university is also selected as one of 50 Chinese universities for the China-Africa 100 Universities Cooperation Plan.
