As a pivotal practical session bridging cross-cultural theory and industrial AI practice, the second-day field visit to iFLYTEK Liaoning offered Chinese and international participants direct access to China’s self-developed intelligent speech and general artificial intelligence technologies.

Guided by professional enterprise instructors, students toured exhibition zones covering AI-powered solutions for education, medical care, smart cities and advanced manufacturing. Many lingered around display terminals to test multilingual translation headsets and interact with Xiaoyan, the multilingual virtual anchor supporting over 60 global languages. They held mobile phones to take photos and record short clips, carefully capturing the appearance, operation logic and interactive effects of various AI equipment on site. Engineering and design majors took notes and sketched the appearance and functional layout of AI exhibits to record inspiring technical and design ideas they encountered. During the tour, exhibition guides briefly introduced Spark Large Model, a domestically-developed general AI framework built on independent computing infrastructure, and shared basic information about iFLYTEK’s global multilingual AI layout.

After returning to campus, all Sino-foreign participants drew on the insights gained from this field visit to revise their research manuscripts, focusing on analyzing the application and adaptive adjustment of AI technologies across diverse cultural contexts.

By the end of this immersive technical learning day, every participant finished their daily cross-cultural reflection journal. This on-site industrial experience laid a solid practical groundwork for the camp’s upcoming group creation, themed seminars and research report drafting.
