Recently, international students from International Education College (IEC) took part in the 2025 “Understanding Contemporary China” Chinese Short Video Contest. Their entry “Technology as a Bridge: The ‘Warm China’ I Encountered” claimed the third prize at the provincial level, eloquently echoing the contest’s core theme of “Beautiful China”.

The award-winning work drew inspiration from an IEC-organized summer intercultural technology innovation camp. During the program, the students visited key tech enterprises and innovation hubs in Shenyang, witnessed the dynamism of China’s high-end manufacturing and intelligent equipment sectors, and gained hands-on experience with advanced technologies like 3D printing and intelligent robotic arms. Chinese experts offered meticulous guidance—sharing bilingual technical materials, adjusting their explanations for clarity, and infusing cutting-edge technology with a genuine human touch.

An international participant shared: “Through this experience, I saw not only China’s impressive technological strength but also the sincerity and kindness of Chinese experts. This ‘Beautiful China’—blending innovation and warmth—has deeply resonated with me, and I have grown to truly love this country.”

Moving forward, IEC will continue organizing cross-cultural and tech-innovation activities, encouraging international students to document their perceptions of “Beautiful China” and nurturing sincere China-friendly feelings.
