On October 16, 2025, the Student Union of IEC held a meeting—integrated with training for international student cadres—at which members from all departments gathered to discuss their detailed work plans for the academic year. The session focused on aligning departmental goals with IEC’s broader vision of enhancing academic support, promoting cultural exchange, and improving student welfare, with training content closely linked to these core directions.

During the meeting, Mr. Richard Chen, executive dean of IEC, attended the session and provided targeted training guidance to the Student Union members. He encouraged them to stay dedicated, enhance inter-departmental coordination, and keep fostering a positive and inclusive environment for both international and local students. His guidance, a key part of the training, was well received by the members, who were inspired to refine their plans with a stronger focus on collaboration and practical impact.

The meeting-cum-training concluded with the Student Union reaffirming its continued commitment to transparency and student engagement. They announced upcoming initiatives—including peer mentorship programs, cross-cultural activities, and community projects—that are designed to enrich campus life and serve as follow-up actions to the training. The work plan discussion and training together marked a confident start to the new academic year, setting a clear direction for joint progress and cooperation across all IEC departments.
