On January 12, 2026, the “Intelligent BMW·Cross-Integration Empowerment” Sino-Foreign Student Science and Technology Innovation Practice Camp, hosted by the International Education College (IEC), officially kicked off at Friendship Hall F708. Ms.Chang Ming, Deputy Dean of IEC, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, with scientific and technological innovation instructor, teaching and research section teacher and student counselor in attendance. Nearly 50 Chinese and international students gathered to embark on a journey of technological innovation practice.
In her speech, Ms. Chang Ming emphasized that the camp is a key initiative to deepen the integration of science and education and promote cross-cultural education. She encouraged students to take practice as a bridge, temper their skills, and achieve growth through cross-cultural collaboration.
It is reported that the 7-day camp adheres to the core orientation of “cross-cultural + interdisciplinary+cross-temporal”. Relying on the Sino-German technological cooperation scenarios of BMW Brilliance Automotive, it focuses on enhancing Chinese students’ “global competence” and international students’ “Chinese cognitive ability”, consisting of four stages: ice-breaking and integration, on-site cognition, collaborative creation, and achievement display. During the camp, students will visit BMW Brilliance Automotive Plant Tiexi in Shenyang, participate in specialized workshops such as cross-cultural technical collaboration and short video production, and complete achievements including cross-cultural case collections, automotive cultural and creative models, and business strategy manuals by major. Outstanding works will be recommended to the National University Cross-Cultural Competence Competition.
This camp has built a dual platform for professional practice and cultural exchange among Chinese and international students. It helps students deepen technical cognition and enhance cross-cultural collaboration capabilities through practical operations, laying a solid foundation for cultivating talents with both innovative spirit and international perspective.
