On May 8, 2025, the International Education College (Kharkiv Aviation Institute) organized an immersive cultural excursion for over 40 international students from Indonesia, Comoros, Equatorial Guinea, Burkina Faso, the Republic of the Congo, and other countries to Liaoning Provincial Museum, under the theme "Mutual Learning Among Civilizations, Harmony and Shared Beauty." The event aimed to deepen the students' multidimensional understanding of the continuity and innovation of Chinese civilization through cultural artifacts and regional experiences.

As the largest comprehensive museum in Northeast China, Liaoning Provincial Museum houses treasured Tang Dynasty paintings such as “Court Ladies Wearing Flowered Headdresses and” “Lady Guo’s Spring Outing”, which served as vivid examples of cross-cultural dialogue when compared to the rock art of Africa or the reliefs of Indonesia’s Borobudur. Exhibits ranging from Neolithic Hongshan culture jades to bronze ware and Khitan artifacts illustrated the unique role of Northeast China’s regional civilization within the broader Chinese heritage.

A Chinese language student from the Republic of the Congo remarked, "The thunder patterns on the bronze ware remind me of the motifs on our traditional ritual drums—it’s amazing how these connections transcend time and space." Meanwhile, an Indonesian student, inspired by Manchu paper-cutting, noted, "Like our shadow puppetry, this is another form of storytelling crafted by hand."

This cultural journey broadened the students’ perspectives, enriched their understanding of Northeast China’s history, and provided a platform for cross-cultural exchange. Moving forward, the International Education College (Kharkiv Aviation Institute) will continue innovating extracurricular activities to empower international students as culturally aware ambassadors who understand and cherish China. This initiative further advances the university’s global engagement and cultivates youthful bridges for building a shared future for humanity.
