On 21st April, the Spring Semester International Students Inauguration Ceremony launched in the university library, that marks the beginning of a new academic year. It gives students, teachers and staff a chance to get together, set goals and start the venture of the new semester. The ceremony was no exception a memorable event full of excitement, anticipation and hope for the future.
As a starter, Professor Xin Bin, Party Secretary of IEC, gave a speech that highlight the university’s achievements and plans for the future. He urged all the students to work together to make the new academic year a success and encouraged students to work hard and pursue their dreams.
RADICHABA TSHEPO GOFIWA, as a representative of the new students, followed with a excellent speech. In front of multitudes of students, as a new “SAUer”, she encouraged all the rest students to make a positive impact in their study life in SAU.
After the wonderful speeches from Ms. Wang Ze, and MUSA PETHUEL BIGYEN, the teachers and students’ representatives, the students that performed well in the academic field were issued with certificates, not leaving out awards issued to students excelling in extracurricular activities too. It was wonderful to witness and motivate others to put in more effort and participate more in extracurricular activities.
The ceremony was a reminder of the university's values and mission, and a celebration of the achievements of the past years. With the new student council in place and everyone working together, there is no doubt that IEC will continue to thrive and make a positive impact on the lives of all the international students.
