On April 13, 2023, Korea Aerospace University (KAU) delegation led by President Hurr Hee-Young visited SAU. Mr. Fan Zhenwei, Chairman of University Board received the delegation and had discussions and exchange at the meeting.

On behalf of SAU, Chairman Fan Zhenwei extended a warm welcome to President Hurr Hee-Young and his delegation, and briefly introduced the basic situation of the university and the development and mode of operation of aviation-related majors. Fan said that the two institutions were founded in the same year, with the similar history and background of disciplines and specialties, and have obvious advantages of cooperation. SAU hoped to deepen the exchange and cooperation between the two sides, strengthen mutual exchanges and carry out substantial cooperation in aviation and other engineering and management majors.

President Hurr expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of SAU and introduced Korea Aerospace University. He believed that the two universities have strong faculty resources and cooperation base in the field of aviation engineering and aviation service management. It was expected that both sides could further deepen cooperation, promote the exchange of teachers and students between the two universities, and cultivate high-quality talents for aviation and related disciplines.

After the meeting, the two universities renewed the cooperation agreement, and Chairman Fan accompanied the guests to visit the laboratory of Civil Aviation College and Liaoning General Aviation Academy.

Korea Aerospace University, founded in 1952, is the leader of aviation and space science in Korea. It not only has courses related to the most advanced fields such as the production and design of aircraft and space buildings, but also covers various disciplines such as shipping, control, aircraft maintenance, airport management, air traffic logistics, and operation, etc.
