To mark the beginning of Spring 2023 academic semester, an orientation program was organized for the international students, especially those who travelled to China for the first time since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Present at the event were the administrators of IEC, including the deputy dean of academic affairs - Associate Professor Dr. Qi Han, and the head of Student Administration Office - Mr. Michael Wang, both of whom took turns to address the students. Also in attendance were staff members from Student Administration Office and Teaching Administration Office.

Much effort was put into organizing the 2-day event which begun on Wednesday, 22nd February, and ended on Friday, 24th February 2023. Signifying the first phase of the students’ participation in academic activities this semester, it was necessary to spell out the important things needed for a successful life on campus. As the saying goes, ‘a good beginning makes a good ending.’

Some senior students also welcomed the new students and gave them tips on how to combine study and entertainment for a balanced academic life. All in all, over 30 students participated in the orientation program and listened attentively to the proceedings.
