International Students Won the Third Prize in International Negotiation Contest for College Students (National Level)
TheInternationalNegotiationContestforCollegeStudents(INCCS)washeldonlineon23rd and30thOctober,2022byCommunicationandNegotiationCommitteeofChinaIndustrialTechnologySocietyofEconomicManagementColleges (CNCC). 180 teams reached the national finals. Under the guidance of Prof. Wang Ke, from College of Economics and Management, two teams of business negotiation from IEC won the third prize after fierce competition in the preliminary and semi-finals.
Combined with focused online training and individual coaching from faculty advisors, the students’ negotiation knowledge and logical mindset improved a lot. By practicing and applying the knowledge of liberal arts, business, law and following the rule of “Cooperation”, “Dialogue” and “Win-Win”, international students of IEC take this tournament as a platform to show their communication and negotiation skills in the international business world.
Genxtra Won the Special Award for SAU Future Aero-engine Design Competition
On 17th November, 2022, the fourth SAU Future Aero-engine Design Competition was successfully held online with 57 groups from the university. Genxtra Science and Innovation Group of IEC won the grand prize by defending their new revolutionary design concepts for a future engine.
Prof. He Hongbin from College of Aero-engine guided this Genxtra Group carefully online and offline for the whole year. Through hard work, the new engine named CLHE22 (Controlled Layer Heat Engine) designed by CATIA centers on a new combustion chamber flame tube cooling mechanism, a new turbine blade design, and application of the notion of Bernoulli's Principle to improve the engine design.
GenxtraWontheSecondPrizeforSAUChinaInternationalCollegeStudents' Internet + Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition
SAU China International College Students’ Internet + Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was successfully held on 18th May. Under the instruction of Prof. Hou from College of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, the team Genxtra Designed and analyzed an innovative concept known as the Re-entrant-Honeycomb Engine turbine Blade (RH-22) using CATIA V5 and ANSYS. By being innovative and dedicated, the team received second prize at the school level, after overcoming some hurdles during the process.
International Students Won the First Prize for SAU Vlog Competition
SAU 1st Vlog competition held on 20th October, Students of IEC won the first, second, and third prizes in this competition under the guidance of Prof. Yang Qingting from Engineering Training Center. Students actively joined the competition to record their beautiful lives on campus in China.
IEC always encourages all students to join competitions at all levels actively, and organizes regular activities such as seminars, lectures and experiments offline and online for the students. This has effectively promoted the students’ enthusiasm for study, and improved the practical and comprehensive ability.
