On October 10, Stanford University released the list of world's top 2% scientists 2022. The statistical time slot of the list is from 1960 to 2022. The list is mainly divided into two lists: "Top 2% Most Influential Scientists (Career Impact) (1960-2020)" and "Top 2% Most Influential Scientists 2022 Annual ". In SAU, Professor Wang Jibo was selected into the ranking list of "Top 2% Most Influential Scientists (Career Impact) (1960-2020)"; Seven teachers, including Zhang Wei, Li Rundong, Ji Shude, Zhao Liang, Meng Qingshi, Yang Tianhua and Zhang Yewei, selected into the ranking list of "Top 2% Most Influential Scientists 2022 Annual".
The list was released by Professor John P.A. Ioannidis of Stanford University and mendeley data of Elsevier. The list is based on the Scopus database. It is a comprehensive statistics of such parameters as the scientific research output of scholars, Google Scholar Metrics journal score, H index, citation of achievements, and the ranking position of authors in achievements. It shows the output and academic influence of scientists (citation). According to "career influence" and "annual influence", the world's top 2% scientists were selected from nearly 7 million global scientists in 22 fields and 176 fine molecule fields. It objectively and truly reflects the influence of scientists, indicating that scholars have high influence in their research field and have made outstanding contributions to the development of this field.
