On 30th October 2022, SAU held the 70th anniversary celebration in the gymnasium, which attracted more than 900,000 audience to watch the live broadcast. The leadership of SAU along with the faculty, staff and students attended the event.

During the celebration, the audience were brought back to 1952 - the year Shenyang Aerospace University was founded. The event featured activities like singing, dancing, melodrama and poetry recitation to highlight the achievements of SAU in the past 7 decades of its establishment and the pursuit for a better future through pooled wisdom.

The on-campus international students expressed their best wishes by singing a song, Forever Friends, which was one of the highlights of the ceremony. A montage of their stories in SAU was presented on-screen which showed their fondest memories of SAU. Honorary awards were presented to all the participants by the Dean, Mrs. Pearl Liu, Party Secretary, Mr. Wu Jingtai, and the Deputy Dean, Mrs. Wendy Yin.
