On December 8, 2021, IEC successfully organized an online Opening Ceremony & Meet-and-Greet for the Fall 2021 international freshmen.

The ceremony begun with an opening speech from the Vice President of SAU, Prof. Li Rundong. Firstly, he extended his warmest welcome to all the freshmen, then he went ahead to assure the students of the high standard of online education at SAU.

In attendance were Deputy Dean of Students Affairs, Mrs. Wendy Yin and Head of Student Administration Office, Mr. Michael Wang and representatives of both student and teaching administration offices.

Prof. Chee Han, Deputy Dean of academic affairs put forward three “expectations” for all freshmen: learn and think independently, pay attention to professional knowledge and cherish the importance of teamwork.

In closing, Mr. Michael Wang encouraged the freshmen to focus on their studies and cultivate a habit of self-improvement.
