IEC organized a food cultural exchange on the evening of 30th November on the fourth floor of the South Dining Hall. This exchange aimed to bring students of different nationalities together and immerse themselves in each other’s culture through food.
Volunteer cooks had pre-prepared culturally popular meals from their countries, which they shared on the exchange. Jollof, biryani, mandazi, vitumbua, samosas, spiced tea, specially prepared meats, curries, salads and many more meals were provided for the students.
The event was an immense success as many people showed up to celebrate the food culture. Mrs. Pearl Liu, Dean of IEC and Mr. Wu Jingtai, Party Secretary of IEC together with international students, tutors and Chinese students were present. Everyone dined together while sharing stories and laughs. It was a memorable experience for all involved.
