The Science and Innovation Team of SAUIEC provided a platform for students to present their passions for engineering sciences, which will equip them better for their advanced studies and future careers. Under the supervision of Professor He Hongbin, from the Aerospace Faculty, the group has launched various successful projects starting from December 2020.
Currently, the most notable project was the Unmanned-Aerial-Vehicle 2 (UAV II). It was initiated this September catering to the aero-modelling enthusiastic students of Shenyang Aerospace University.
The UAV II project enhanced the students’ knowledge on the aerodynamics of aerofoil flow, selection of materials in engineering, control and support mechanisms, radio transmitter operation and most importantly- good teamwork skills. Another goal for the project was to enhance the team’s talents and skills in preparation for participating in aeromodelling and innovative engineering competitions at the provincial and national levels.
Professor He Hongbin issued guidelines and supervision, making sure the work done is commendable and accomplished within schedule. Moreover, the International Education College of SAU provided its full support in facilities for the growth of global engineering talents.
The Science and Innovation Team encourages other students to join various initiatives and organizes them to facilitate the exchange and the discovery of new ideas and talents for the benefit of our SAUIEC Community.
