On April 29 and 30, SAU held the 11th Sports Meet with a booming spirit of great zeal and zest. More than 2000 faculty and students joined the parade ceremony. International students, representing our IEC looked dashing in their suits and track suits.
Over the course of two days, IEC participated in different competitions. In addition to the thrill of the event, the Sports Meet brought out the competitiveness within IEC students on a bigger stage as other colleges in the school participated in this event.
Some activities that the IEC students participated in included, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m races. Teams also participated in 4*100m relay, 4*400m relay, 4*100m relay with loads, 10*50m relay, relay cooperation, high jump, long jump, triple jump, and shortput.
The IEC was well presented as the international student-athletes won in all the activities they competed in, both individual and team activities and across both genders.
The athlete Gibby was acknowledged and awarded for breaking the record for the 100m sprint race, which was previously held by himself.
