On 19th April 2021, 5 international students of SAU started their internship at Shenyang Huaxiang Co. Ltd after having been previously selected from a total of 13 internship applicants.

The students are from Kenya, Tanzania, Bangladesh, Rwanda, and Zimbabwe and they are outstanding students of IEC.

After arriving at the premises of the company, they were ushered by Ms. ZHOU-head of the project management department to the staff meeting room where they received a warm welcome from the management and staff of the company and then they were given orientation about the operations of the company.

After the orientation, they were shown around the 11 departments in the company, given a brief introduction about the factory equipment and finally assigned departments to work in.

For some of the students, it is a new experience especially because this is the closest they have gotten to experience real engineering work. The students were very delighted to be at the factory and they were amazed at the size and complexity of the machines for products such as the injection, welding, and molding machines.

The internship which is scheduled to last 3 months will end in June 2021, and the interns are expected to learn and practice as much as possible in preparation for employment after they graduate.
