On 2 September 2020, a meeting between the administration of IEC and lecturers of the various faculties of SAU was held at the conference room in Friendship Villa.

Present at the meeting were Mr. Richard Chen, Dean of IEC, Ms. Pearl Liu, Executive Deputy Dean of IEC, staff members of IEC Teaching Administration Office and twenty representatives of faculty lecturers.

The meeting started with an opening address by Ms. Pear Liu followed by a speech from Mr. Richard Chen in which he expressed his gratitude to the lecturers for their devotion.

The main topic discussed at the meeting concerned how classes will be held this semester. It was decided that for the students who are currently in China, all classes will be held in the classroom while for those outside China, classes will continue online.

The lecturers also briefly introduced themselves, shared the impression they had with regards to last semester’s online classes and then they suggested effective ways to combat the problems that were encountered during lectures.

It was decided that a task force comprising some lecturers and administration members be set up immediately to solve the issues discussed at the meeting.
