On Friday 17th April, a meeting was held in Friendship Villa between IEC management and student representatives from different classes and countries. IEC management worked with all the monitors to ensure every class was represented.
Dean Richard Chen started the meeting with an update on the anti-epidemic progress of China. He advised students to use the time properly and pay more attention to the online classes. Executive Dean Pearl Liu explained the visa extension process and fees payment procedure and scheme.
The graduating students were advised to maintain regular contact with their supervisors to ensure their thesis reports meet the standards for graduation. Information regarding lab experiments and internship will be updated later according to the situation.
Living conditions, food and daily commodities supply is also a top priority where every measure is being taken to ensure constant improvement is made. Delivery service for online shopping will be made available for students on campus.
To keep everybody healthy, IEC strongly encourages all the international students on campus to come out to get some fresh air and do some physical exercises every day.
Dean Richard Chen concluded the meeting by inviting students to share their suggestions and report any issues they are facing so that necessary steps are taken.
