In order to enhance the safety of the residence of international students in our campus, the Grand Villa of IEC installed a face recognition system today. The face recognition system utilizes the latest technology for comparing different facial visual feature information for identity authentication, and belongs to a kind of biometric recognition technology. The face recognition technology is based on human facial features, and processes the input face image or video stream, and further extracts each face according to the position and the position information of each main facial parts. By comparing the identity characteristics with a consistent face through a series of related technologies of face recognition system, including identity confirmation and search, face image acquisition, positioning, and recognition preprocessing, etc. to make sure the identity of the specific person.

The use of the face recognition system avoids the illegal entry of outsiders into the apartment, strengthens the safety of international student residence, and improves the management level of the apartment administration office of IEC.
