On October 10th, a meeting with the representatives of SAU international students and leadership of IEC was held in the classroom of Friendship Villa. Mr. Richard Chen, Dean of IEC, Ms. Pearl, Secretary of IEC participated in the meeting. Mr. Richard Chen gave a short speech to the students and introduced them the history and development of IEC, and expressed his wishes that all of the international students will enjoy their happy life at SAU, and asked students to talk freely about the problems they faced.
The representative students are made up of the high rank members of students union, the monitors of each class. They can maximumly represent the over 1000 international students and express what they want to express.
This meeting focused on solving the problems which our international students are facing, so all the questions from students were suggested to complain the problems so that IEC leadership will know it clearly and give the solution immediately. The problems including many aspects including the living condition such as low speed WIFI, room heater not working, internship problems and students activity room need to be added, etc. Some of the problems has been settled in the meeting directly, the rest will be solved soon.
IEC appreciates all of our students for giving fully understanding about our work and talk freely, just like one student mentioned that they can talk freely the problems because they all know that IEC people always trying to offer the best education and the best living condition and service to students, and they hope their complains would be helpful to make SAU a better home for all international students.
