"Spread the love"-keeping this slogan in its heart, IEC-Compassion team went on its 2nd visit to "Jintaiyang Retirement Care Centre" on the 14th of June. As usual, the team was led by the tutors. 

This time the team worked on making a few senior citizens smile. The afternoon began with a little brief about the place by the instructors. Then the team went to the traditional art room and saw a few of the masterpieces that the seniors drew. It was surprising for the students to know that they started drawing after retirement. Later some of the students also were invited to draw with the seniors. They were encouraged by their tutors the whole time.

Later the students visited another room where the grannies were practicing dance steps on traditional Chinese music. The students, along with their tutors tried a few steps and had light moments together. Then the visitors went to another part of the building where they helped the old people with chores and had the chance of having a conversation with them. Life experiences were shared and the novices also tried learning Chinese from them. Then came the fun moment of the afternoon when the seniors, the tutors and their lovely students sang in a chorus. They all sang a few Chinese songs together. The pleasant afternoon ended with the accomplishment of their mission- making time enjoyable for the grannies and try to make the world a little better for everyone with their short but steady contributions and good hearts.
