On the morning of July 3rd, Ms. Hu Han, Exams Marketing Officer of the British Cultural and Educational Association(BCEA), visited our university. Richard Chen, Dean of IEC, met the guest in the meeting room of the College.
Richard extended a warm welcome to the guest and introduced our great attention on international exchanges and the general development of the teachers’and students’ exchanging.
Then Ms. Hu introduced the development of IELTS examination and the status. As one of the most famous exams for International English standardization, IELTS has been recognized by nearly 9000 educational institutions, employers, professional associations and government departments in 135 countries of the world. At the same time, Ms. Hu also introduced the main functions of BCEA.
As the organizer of the IELTS examination, BCEA regularly carries out the latest IELTS examination information, examination guidance and recommends excellent foreign universities. In order to promote more effective training courses for IELTS teachers in colleges and universities, BCEA is responsible for training teachers of universities. With the wide spread of IELTS in the world, BCEA has introduced the innovative "Aptis test", which aims to collect the first hand data through students' entrance examinations, periodical tests and so on and gives the objective and effective study suggestions and study plans for the students. At the same time, Aptis test has been used as an assessment test of the English teachers' language proficiency in more and more cities.
