On the 25th of November, 2017 the Shenyang Aircraft Museum opened its halls to the International Students of SAU. The tour was organized by the International Students Union with the aim of learning about the history of the aviation history in China. The students got to see the different aircrafts, gadgets and facilities on display at the museum.

The museum mostly contains various generations of fighter jets used between 1936 – 2011. Both locally made aircraft and imported aircraft are on display. The museum highlights the efforts of the people who contributed to the development of the aviation industry. Mr. Zhang Xueliang, the most famous patriotic general, laid a foundation for the aviation industry in the Northeast of China by ordering the Northeast Army to build Beiling Airport and establish the Northeast Aviation Plant. The museum also highlights the success of several Aircraft Industries and Offices such as that of the ‘Plant 112 Aircraft Design Office’ which designed the FT-1, PT6, Attacker 5 and DF-107 in August 1956.

In the final section of the museum, the success of the Standardization Administration of China (SAC) is brought to light. The SAC largely contributed to the national economic and social progress through the sale of several aircrafts to different countries as well as the development of non-aviation products and facilities to support agriculture and other industries.
