On 9th June, 2017, representatives of SAU international students including Chinese government scholarship students, the basketball team players, dancers, and singers along with IEC staff started a 3-day trip to Inner Mongolia Province and experienced friendship and local culture.
The aim of this trip was to establish the bilateral friendship between Shenyang Aerospace University and Inner Mongolia University of Nationalities.

On 10th June, 2017, joint activities were performed making students from both universities come to know each other and establish friendship.
In the morning, students from both universities toured different facilities of the Inner Mongolia University of Nationalities such as: the museum, the library, the cultural exhibition hall. The tour was not only attractive, it was more educative.

In the afternoon, a basketball game between SAU and Inner Mongolia University of nationalities kicked-off, where the SAU team won with 63 points and the Inner Mongolia University of Nationalities lost with 44 points, and dancers from both universities also exhibited their talents by warming game participants.


After basketball game, SAU delegation was invited to traditional dinner. IMUN Vice President welcomed the delegation and briefed them about the Inner Mongolia history and tradition, and the vision of the both universities bilateral friendship.

During the dinner, different songs and dances revealing the Inner Mongolia culture were performed and on the other side. International students from SAU demonstrated their talents in songs that warmed everyone present.

The captain of the SAU basketball team Jonathan M.B, a bachelor student in Aeronautics, revealed his happiness by saying: “we really appreciate the Inner Mongolia University of Nationalities for everything they have done for us: the perfect hospitality, the delicious food and the Kindness shown. Though we won their basketball team, but they are very professional we can’t wait for their visiting game in Shenyang”.
It was expressed that both universities will enhance exchange and collaboration, which will broaden vision for students, exchange regional friendship as well as learn more knowledge about “Belt and Road” initiative.
