The first manned electric aircraft designed in China SAU Liaoning General Aviation Institute started mass production.
The two-seat, light-duty aircraft RX1E received its airworthiness certificate from China’s Civil Aviation Authority in 2015.
With a maximum takeoff weight of 500 kilograms and a cruising speed of 150 kilometers per hour, the RX1E can fly at an altitude of around 3000 meters.
The eco-friendly aircraft is powered by lithium batteries and its body was made up of compound material with full carbon fiber.
It can fly for 45 to 60 minutes after its batteries have been charged for just one hour and a half.
The first batch of order will be 28 planes.
