On 30 May 2015, SAU held the second annual Cultural Fiesta. The event’s main aim was to expose the students of our university to the diverse cultures present at the school.
Represented were 21 countries from all the continents, each country was allocated a stall in which they were displaying things unique to where they come from. People exuded pride and confidence as they moved around in their cultural clothing. Each stall was also showcasing their staple food and from 21 countries, there was a wide variety of dishes to choose from.
During the day, each country entertained the crowd with their cultural dances and in the evening, we had great stage performances. The quality of the performances was exceptional; everyone was treated to great music, dance, magic and a puppet show. In the evening, the awards for the best cultural exhibits were awarded, as follows:
First place: Pakistan
Second place: Papua New Guinea
Third place: Arabia
On a final note the event was great and all the countries available did a great job at representing their nations.
