On May 9th, more than 2000 faculty and students joined the parade ceremony. International students, representing IEC looked dashing in their suits and extra ordinary in their cultural dresses. The IEC athletes stood out amongst the participants and through the sweat of their brows, they managed to grab top notch positions.

The international students, yet again, took the whole game to another level by proving their mettle in the field. For the first time, in the history of IEC, Bukory Trivedi, one of our male athletes, broke the record of 100m sprint race. He is the first international student to break the SAU’s male athlete record. The athletes managed to secure 1st position for male athlete team whereas 7th for female team. Despite that, the IEC department stood 2nd among 10 other competing departments of SAU, which compared to last year, is a very high level improvement. And this was possible all due to the hard work and effort done by our students.

The event in itself struck a perfect eloquence of splendor and outstanding management by SAU. The international students were well prepared because of Student Union members’ untiring efforts. Majula Kamima Francis (the current committee member of sports) took it upon himself and trained the athletes for the big event, well in time. He himself won many medals for us too.

Like last Sports Meet, this event will also remain as a bright beacon of performance and will be a hallmark of outstanding achievement for all the future IEC athletes. International Education College of SAU hopes that more and more records will be broken in the future and wishes all its current athletes a heartily congratulations!
