A lecture delivered by postgraduate student

Success is the ultimate goal for each and every one of us, though our paths and prize may differ. At some moments we may find ourselves drifting from our paths, truly disoriented and distracted. The answer lies in other people’s success stories, how they fell and how they maneuvered their way to the top to become household names.

On 28 November 2014, a lecture was delivered by a postgraduate student, Ms. Lamprecht Daniela. She discussed two such stories, Redbull and Swarovski. She highlighted the strengths, weaknesses and opportunities these companies have in detail.

Redbull in its infancy was thrown out as being a bad idea but now it’s one of the world famous beverages; Swarovski on the other hand is a real Cinderella story, a real case of starting from the bottom. It faced many challenges in the beginning and almost closed down but through their innovative employees and management they are one of the world class companies that make affordable jewelry.

The quality of the presentation was great and well organized. It’s amazing that a postgraduate student can find the time to give such a presentation. The confidence of the presenter and her love for her country radiated a flare of patriotism. All in all it was a good presentation.
