Richard Chen attends conference in Egypt

On 27 November, 2014, Richard Chen, Dean of IEC attended the conference of Arab-China Relations in a Global Contest organized by Suez Canal University in Egypt. He expressed his gratitude for the invitation of Suez Canal University, and highlighted the importance to hold such a conference to promote the collaboration between China and Arabic countries.

The next conference is expected to be held in Shenyang next year. At the end of the speech, Richard Chen read the poem composed by himself to all.

The poem is as below: 

Millennium Friendship

China and Arab, great nations with splendid culture.

Thousands of years passed by,

we face the honors and disgrace with joined hands.

In the era of globalization,

two brothers are rising together with such a roar!

Let’s cherish our proverb:

Harmony is valueless,

harmony promotes peace,

peace enhances virtues,

virtues nourish everything in the universe!

Let’s respect each other and accept the differences,

seek for similarities and march forward together!

Dear brothers, let’s cheer up for the high time

to compose the new chapter

of peace and development of the world!
