Vice President Wang Qi visits two universities in USA

From Oct. 26 to 30, 2014, the delegation of Shenyang Aerospace University led by Vice President Wang Qi visited Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) and Saint Louis Unviersity (SLU) in USA.

During their stay in SIUE, SAU delegates were warmly received by Chancellor Julie Furst-Bowe and carried substantive discussions with Dean and professors of School of Engineering in regards to students “2+2” and “3+2”programs, short-term exchange as well as teachers training program. Both parties have signed a letter of affirmation and have reached consensus in further steps of cooperation. SAU delegates also went to lectures of their own fields, getting first hand experience of American classes. In the meantime, Vice President Wang Qi met with 6 visiting academics of SAU in SIUE.

During their visit in Saint Louis University (SLU), SAU delegation had deep discussions with Prof. Alexander and other faculty leaders in regard to students exchange and teacher training program in the areas of aeronautical engineering, computer science and electronic information engineering. Both parties agreed to sign up partnership in order to carry out long term cooperation in the above mentioned fields.
