J8II moved onto stone tablet of university motto

On 14 September, 2014, the stone tablet where university motto was carved witnessed her new friend’s coming-J8II. This fantastic change even attracted many students from other universities after they heard the news.

Prof. Yang Fengtian, President of SAU acted as the Deputy Chief Designer of J8II series before decades of years and it was an exciting and memorable moment to move J8II onto our motto stone tablet.

The J8II aircraft, derivative of China’s earlier J-series aircraft, is considered to be an important component in the China’s People’s Liberation Army Air force (PLAAF) modernization.
