A new international SAU Nonlinear Research and Applications Center was recently established at Shenyang Aerospace University(SAU). Vice President Wang Qi said that the time came when Chinese scientists should be united together with famous foreign specialists closely to help young scientific community of China to reach leading positions in the world in the field of nonlinear dynamics and complexity.

Director, Professor Albert Luo (From Southern Illinois University, USA) said that the practice of international centers is accepted all over the world. It is a very useful form to unite specialists in some fields and encourage them to improve the level of knowledge in a specific field and to educate graduate students and young scientists, by working together.

The center started working already. From May to August, Invited professors Li-ming Dai (from University of Regina,Canada),Han-song Tang(from City University of Newyork,USA),given lectures and report focus some nonlinear problems.At the ceremony of 11th August,Drs. Edgaodo Ugalde and Valentin Aframovich (from Universidad Aut_onoma de San Luis Potos ,Mexico ), Xavier Leoncini (from Aix-Marseille Université.France), Albert Luo (USA) came to make lectures and to participate in joint scientific research.

The plans were suggesting for developing nonlinear system research and its applications.
