On March 14th, 2013, College of International Education held its second teachers training seminar in spring semester with the topic of life career rainbow. Professor Liu Teng, who is an experienced advisor in psychological consultation hosted this seminar and gave his lecture on life career rainbow.

(Faculties drew and showed their life career rainbow)
Faculties of International Education College attended the seminar and completed their own life career rainbow under the instruction of Professor Liu Teng. He claimed that life career rainbow described career development in terms of life stages and life roles where people could find work or life balance that suited them. When peaks of demand in one area match troughs in another, life can be good. However, when demands are in synch we can experience dissatisfaction, stress, anxiety, depression and a whole host of other ills.
After drawing, faculties also told the story of their own rainbow, moving and meaningful. This test triggered faculties’ thought of their past and future. More importantly, it helped faculties find an appropriate balance between career and life.
