On December 18th, the members of calligraphy team rehearsed for Christmas Party in Friendship Villa under the guidance of Mr. Hu, the Chinese teacher from College of International Education.
Founded in the beginning of this semester, this team consists of freshmen and gradually develops. At present, they are studying and practicing li calligraphy, which is the official or clerical script of traditional Chinese calligraphy forms. Calligraphy will trigger their keen interest in Chinese culture and enrich their extra-curriculum life. “Long distance separates no bosom friends” was created by Wang Bo, a renowned poet in Tang Dynasty. All the members want to express their miss to their friends with this famous Chinese poem.
The calligraphy team will make its debut in the coming Christmas Party and show their results to all the faculties and friends.
