Aircraft Modelling Competition Held in College of International Education

On December 14th, Aircraft Modelling Competition was held in Friendship Villa, which attracted many overseas students to compete and exchange. Some experts experienced in aeronautical realm evaluated and marked the entries. Professor Chen, the dean of International Education College was also present and kindly discussed with overseas students.
There were 19 different types of aircrafts made by group of students and some individual students. “The keen interest in aeronautics as well as the capability of students is reflected in large number of marvellous entries,” said one of the judges. With knowledge being the cornerstone, application would be a crucial edge as students embarked on their careers in aeronautical professions.
"I am very inspired to compete with these excellent finalists and appreciate such innovative and imaginative entries,” said one of the overseas students. Each student gained valuable knowledge and merited from others’ conceptual designs during the competition. Several prizes including the conceptual design and most attractive design ones were set to encourage and award the outstanding students. The group of Dennis and Sameera swept the first prizes of both categories. Another three students won the second and third prizes with their excellent performance.
