SAU Delegation Visits University of Colombo, Sri Lanka

On November 23rd, SAU delegation visited University of Colombo. During the visit, Mr. Richard Chen was met with by Vice Chancellor, Professor Kshanika Hirimburegama and Dean of Faculty of Graduate Students, Mr. Sunil Chandrasiri.     

Since two universities have some similar faculties, joint degree programs are expected to be established in the near future.

Brief Introduction to University of Colombo

The University of Colombo is a public research university located primarily in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The oldest institution of modern higher education in Sri Lanka, it is also the largest university in the island. It is ranked among the top 10 universities in South Asia.

With a student population of over 11,000, the university is made up of seven faculties with 41 academic departments and eight other institutions. Most faculties offer both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, with some offering courses for external students and distance-learning programs.
