International Students Education Seminar Held

On November 7, the College of International Education held an education seminar regarding improving the quality of teaching international students in Friendship Villa.

The meeting was presided by Ms Pearl Liu, Deputy Dean of IEC. Mr. Richard Chen, dean of IEC and 25 teachers and students representatives participated the meeting.

Mr. Richard Chen introduced the current situation of international education in Liaoning Province and China, and looked into a promising prospect of SAU's international education. Teachers discussed how to strengthen classroom management, teaching methods, and communication skills. The meeting also discussed their teaching plan for the next semester and implementation of a new assessment model, namely “Attendance + Quizzes + Midterm Exam + Final exam". Three outstanding international students' teachers shared their rich teaching experience with other attendees, and student representatives also delivered their thanks to teachers and made a number of suggestions.

The meeting came to the end in a sound round of applause. Through the significant progress made in the past years, an increasing number of international students from more than 42 countries are studying in SAU.
