Shenyang Aerospace University (SAU), one of China's foremost higher learning institutions in aviation sector, is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its founding. The university is experiencing reform and progress as it aspires to become one of the highest ranked universities in the aviation field.
A celebration is taking place at the Sports Arena of SAU with top leaders from the China Air Force and Liaoning provincial department, and SAU alumni attending.
Over the past 60 years, SAU has grown from an aviation school to one of China's top universities in the aviation sector that boasts a first-class education and leading facilities.
It has also produced many of the country's renowned scientists, business leaders as well as government officials.
Professor Yang Fengtian, President of SAU, addressed the great event. He called for students to combine their knowledge with morals, develop creativity, and strive for character under a new world background.
He said, “with a new and stricter demand for higher education, SAU now is at the key stage of reform and development, and it is striving for establishing an innovative and reputable university."
Representatives of partner universities and SAU alumni also delivered their messages to SAU at this great occasion.
The anniversary concluded with the University Song singed by the all attendees.
