On September 4th, 2012, Professor Paul Bates from Griffith University Australia visited SAU.
It was the first time that Professor Paul Bates visited SAU. He was impressed by the campus and academic facilities of SAU, where he paid a visit to key labs including Wind Tunnel Lab, Engine Lab, 147 Maintenance School and Engineering Training Studio.
Later, he was met the Richard Chen, Dean of the College of International Education, and Ms Shi Hong, Deputy Dean of the College of Civil Aviation, SAU. The two parties had a talk concerning cooperation proposals about pilot training, maintenance and simulation equipments purchase and renting. Professor Paul Bates, on behalf of Griffith University, expressed a willing to receive students of SAU going to Australia to study under the typical Australian style education and learn the latest technology in the world. The two parties believed that further cooperation would be built up in the near future with a bright prospect.
It was the first time that Professor Paul Bates visited Shenyang, and he was looking forward to having a back visit to SAU next year.
