International students of SAU recently gathered to rehearse a local Chinese song and an English song for the 60th anniversary of SAU. The participants said they are full of confidence to put on an excellent show to all SAU students.

Two weeks ago, international students set up their own choir and began the rehearsal with one Chinese local song “Shenyang I Love You” and one English song ”Forever Friends”.
Putelar, one group member of the choir, is an Indonesian student at SAU who has only been in the country for one year, he has found both living and studying in China enjoyable, particularly when learning through song.
"Taking part in such an activity will help me learn the Chinese language, as well as the Chinese culture. In addition, as a member of SAU, I shall contribute something to its anniversary."
Most international students have come to China to experience the culture while learning the language. And Chinese music is an essential part of that culture. The singing rehearsal provides a fun opportunity for them to enhance their understanding and communication.
In September, SAU will hold its 60th anniversary with a wide range of celebration activities. In keeping with the theme, participants will show their affections about SAU through songs to demonstrate their lives, studies and personal experiences at SAU.
Over 280 international students are studying at SAU. The activity not only improves their friendship, but also helps them feel more at home in China.
