Internatinal students are taking advantage of a unique opportunity to improve their Chinese language skills through the regular Chinese Language Corner activities with Chinese students.
This year, activities led by Chinese language volunteers and Student Union of the College of International Education have made a trend of 'language and cultural gurus'.
"The activity provides an unique opportunity for students to improve their language skills in a natural and purposeful interaction with Chinese students from cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds," a student from Indonesia said.

"Chinese students and international students create partnerships by bridging language, stereotype barriers and culture gaps. This program strengthens solidarity between Chinese students and international students across SAU's multicultural community."
SAU Chinese language teachers have noticed a significant increase in conversational skills of students taking part in the activities.
"A bunch of students who chose the project as their detailed study and oral component of their language exam achieved excellent grades in their HSK test in 2012," Wendy Yin, a Chinese language teacher at SAU said.
The activity proves so popular with both international students and Chinese students, and that more international students will choose SAU as their academic destination.
