A wonderful sports meeting was enjoyed by all the students and lecturers on April 27th and 28th, held at the SAU stadium. It was destined to be an historic event as it was 60 year’s anniversary of SAU.    

The two-day event consist an opening ceremony, closing ceremony and multiple athletic competitions at the stadium. When the 21-gun salute was fired, hundred of doves flied into sky and lifted the curtain of the game/All the schools and departments of the university participated in the meeting. The team from the College of International Education was truly fantastic, with international students, lecturers and office staff resplendent in their national costumes.

The sport meeting includes a series of activities. International lecturers and students took part in such competitions as relay race, short-distance running, long-distance running, long jump, javelin throw and discus throw. Their Kongfu performance gave a very amazing impression on the people at the university.

Competitors from the College of International Education achieved sound results. Bello Samuel Jibril from class 080801 won the silver medal in Shot Put. The French student from IPSA won the championship in the 5000 meter race. Other international students also exert themselves for the honor of sports spirit.
