Delegation from Saginaw Valley University USA Visited SAU

On November 11 of 2001, the delegation from Saginaw Valley University USA paid a visited SAU, aiming at establishing bilateral cooperation between the two sides.

Prof. Li Haifeng, Vice-President of SAU met the delegation and enjoyed a nice and friendly conversation with them, concerning general introduction of two sides, student exchange program, pilot training program and proposals for both cooperation and improvements in university teaching. The cordial and fruitful conversation was concluded by a memo signed between two sides, with a desire for further cooperation in the future.

Later, Ms Pearl Liu, Deputy Dean of International Education College of SAU, greeted the guests at Friendship Villa, where the delegation had a visit and were impressed by both the living and study facilities of Friendship Villa.

Saginaw Valley State University, commonly known as SVSU, is a state university in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is located in the middle of Michigan's Lower Peninsula in the Saginaw Valley region. It is the youngest of Michigan's 15 public colleges and universities. Saginaw Valley State University is one of the fastest growing universities in Michigan, and has continued to grow year after year. For the fall 2009 semester, SVSU saw its largest incoming freshman class to date with 1,740 arriving and over 75% of them living on campus. The overall enrollment now stands at 10,498 students: a record level for SVSU. Saginaw Valley State University is also continuing to build on to its campus, both in new housing developments for students and in new buildings to help further the academic achievement of the students.
