In late October, SAU was approved to enlist into the Elite Engineer Training Scheme universities, of which 133 Chinese universities were approved by experts of Chinese government basing on the universities’ working scheme and professional training scheme.

The Elite Engineer Training Scheme, setting up as a national reform program, is an important measure to make China into an engineering education power house. The scheme aims to cultivate a batch of qualified engineering talents who can adapt to the development of society, and also plays a leading role in building up China in aspects of enhancing national strength, sticking to the development module of creative industrialization, and cultivating quality innovative talents for the whole country.

In recent years, SAU has continued its rise in terms of research and development, teaching and administration, international exchange and cooperation, etc.
