Here is some information about Shenyang city and SAU.
I. Shenyang city is an ancient city for more than 7,200 years, also the aviation city of China, as it has ten companies for aeronautical and astronautical manufacturing, four aeronautical research institutes and one university. There are more than 20 universities in the city.
II. We are producing parts for Boeing and Airbus, American CESSNA and Canadian Bombardier.
III. Shenyang has many world famous companies, like BMW, Lathe Group, Heavy Equipments Co., etc, SAU has the cooperation with the majors companies, students and teachers always go there for internship and research projects.
IV. SAU students and teachers manufactured its own plane in 1958, and now there are more than 20 aircrafts for the students to practice. There are many high level labs on the campus, the engineering practice center is national level.
V. SAU is also proud of its 147 School, which is the only one in China approved by CAAC, to train the students to maintain helicopters and issue the licence, we will be authorized to issue Fixed-wing aircraft maintenance licence very soon.
VI. SAU has around 20,000 students on campus, including 200 international students from 24 countries, some are studying aeronautical engineering for master and bachelor levels. There are 44 majors for bachelor degree, 50 for master degree, also the joint PhD programs.
VII. SAU graduates are very easy to get jobs, the employment rate is around 90%.
