The Sports Festival of SAU, 2010-2011 launched on April 28 and 29. The international students achieved extinguished result in the game. Bello Samuel Jibril from class 080801 won the silver medal in Shot Put. Thulara Hasantha Ganegoda of class 090303 came sixth in Javelin. In 100 meters relay with load, the international students team flight to the final round.

The first day of the event consisted an opening ceremony and multiple athletic competitions at the stadium. When the 10-gun salute was fired, hundred of doves flied into sky and lifted the curtain of the game. All the schools and departments of the university participated in the meeting. The team from the International Cooperation Department was truly fantastic, with all our international students, lecturers and office staff resplendent in their colourful uniforms.

In the two days, students were quite enjoyed in the games, where they had big fun and got to know more friends.
