On November 6th 2009, a presentation about Chinese Love Poems and Songs by Professor Li Yunqi was organized at SYIAE. This was the second time that Professor Li came to give our international students a lecture.

This time Professor Li introduced our students to the glorious world of Chinese poems and minority groups. Admittedly, the topic was somewhat difficult for all the audience to understand, but most of our international students thrived on the experience.

Mr. Li is Professor of Translation and is a well-known scholar of Sino-western cultures and poetic works. He has, on numerous occasions, given lectures on Chinese poetry, music and history in the United States, Taiwan and Macao.  His new book 'The Reading and Transplanting of Beauty in English Poetry' is now on sale nationwide.
