On 16th July, 2009, the Conference of Studying Abroad in Liaoning Province, China, organized by the Education Office of Liaoning Province was held in Dalian city. The officers from the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Ministry of Education, China Scholarship Council, Chinese Association of Higher Education and the Education Office of Liaoning Province, Presidents and Directors from 47 universities of Liaoning Province, totally 115 personnel attended the Conference. Mr. Li Shusen, Vice-director of Education Office of Liaoning Province presided over the meeting.
At the meeting, Mr. Li Shusen made summary report to the international education affairs of Liaoning Province in recent years and raised future expectation to the work of the fellow universities in Liaoning Province.
Furthermore, SYIAE together with 15 other universities was awarded "The Outstanding University of International Education". Robert Pan from the International Cooperation Department of SYIAE was awarded "The Outstanding Individual".
In recent years, internationalization is playing more and more important role in SYIAE. Now there are 15 foreign professors and more than 100 international students working and studying here.They come from more than 20 different countries ,including the USA, Canada, Britain, Australia, Germany, Russia, Japan, Korea, Philipin,Germany, Austria, France, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Ghana, Mexico, Pakistan, Uganda, Kenya and Ivorian Coast, etc.
